For me, the best is Kubrick, with Nolan closing in, Hitchcock in the third place, then Martin Scorsese, Orson Welles, Coen brothers, Fincher, Fellini, Lumet and Tarkovsky. There are many many more, but these are mine top 10. Yeah, Spielberg isn't in my top list at all.
