To adjust VALVE LASH ON MECHANICAL (solid) LIFTER CAMS, follow the same basic procedure as above. Instead of lifter pre-load and zero lash, use the valve lash specs printed on your Lunati cam spec card.

Web24 de abr. de 2009 · I first adjusted the lash at .018 cold and started and warmed the motor.After hot, re-adjusted valves. Howards calls for .024 hot. I set them a tad tight @.022. Restarted the motor and it ran smooth for about 10 minutes and then started misfiring. Pulled the valve cover and one of the exuast valves had about 1/4 inch lash! Hydraulic rollers, IMO, are perfect for an engine that never sees over 5500-5700 and that's what I use them for. They will go for 100,000 miles on factory vehicles (look at the Ford 5.0L for example).
Web26 de mai. de 2005 · I am using Harland Sharp roller rockers and I have plenty of oil pressure at idle and at cruising. 70 at idle until it warms up then it drops to about 60 at 3000rpms. Like I said it got quieter the more the car heated up so I figured that was the lifters pumping up but I am not sure.

Web7 de mai. de 2014 · If the valves do decide to float and you dont have enough valve to piston clearance, something is going to touch I usually run 1/4 turn but here again, it really needs to be discussed with the camshaft manufacturer. Any cam I have had up to .550 lift with 1.5 rockers I have always done cylinder one on the compression stroke then turn the engine 90 degrees then move to cylinder 8 and do the same procedure. incompatibility\u0027s kjWeb11 de mar. de 2024 · Prior to building my engine I did an extensive amount of reading here about roller lifters.
