My salesman has strongly urged me to buy an extended warranty because of high Porsche repair costs (of course, the dealer makes money on this). I think the prices quoted may depend to some degree on the particular model 718, eg., maintenance specific to 6 vs. 4 cylinders, turbos, ceramic brakes, convertible top mechanisms, and so on. The 1yr/10k service (ie, oil change) is free. I prepaid about $800 for the 2yr/20K for my '18 CS.
